1991 Eagle Casement Window Left Top Hinge

Home Owner from Beavercreek, Ohio

Dear SWISCO,

I took the left window off my 1991 Eagle casement window to paint the lower sill including under the bottom hinge guide. (Left Window as viewed from inside.) In reinstalling, the black plastic on the top hinge slider broke and now it will no longer stay in the top hinge guide. The photo I show is the right window and you can see the black plastic part that slides back and forth in the track as the window opens and closes. The black plastic is molded or pressed over a steel plate. The steel plate by itself will not stay in the guide. The hinge assembly is screwed to the casement window frame.

Please help me find a replacement part. I hope they are still available as I would had to have to replace the entire window for a single hinge.

Thank you so much for your help.

Dave

Hey Dave. I'm afraid that individual track slider can't be replaced, but you should be able to just replace the hinge set in the window. How does our 36-004-10 10" Stainless Steel Hinge set compare? Review the dimensions below, compare to your old hinges and see if these match what you have. Let me know if anything differs. You'll want to replace both hinges in the window at once just to make sure everything runs smoothly and symmetrically. The video below shows how to replace window hinges. Let me know if you have further questions.
