1992 Milguard casement window bottom sash hinge

A quick learner from Ketchikan AK says:
Hi, Almost all of our windows do not close correctly due to bottom hinge hardware being rusted and inoperable. I don't even know what parts are needed since they are rusted away. Also looking for replacement seals.

And maybe a few crank assemblies, I found some stamped markings on one.

I have attached a pic of only sticker found.

Only stamped marking on window is : MG-1 ALI CBA

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reaching out to us! Your hinge looks like an older version of our 36-048. I am confident that this will work for your window as long as you replace the top and bottom at the same time. You don't want to mix old and new hinges.

As for the operator, I'd be happy to make a recommendation but I will need a more complete picture of the mechanism. I specifically need to see the base and the end of the arm, all in one shot. Let me know if that's possible.

Hi Tom,

It is our vacation home these are only pics I have since not there. I measured arm at 8 inches that was stopping at the other metal cross piece going over it where it widens to crank gears.

Any idea on kind of seals needed for replacing, they are same kind on window and frame.

Thank you!

Thanks! These pictures are helpful. With this new data in mind my first guess would be the 39-031 and 39-032. However, you should definitely compare the dimensions we show on our store pages to your old hardware to be 100% sure. These are no guarantee, just my best guess. Don't buy anything without double checking.

As for the weatherseal, there's no way for me to know at this point. I would require photos of that, as well; specifically, I need to see the end profile in undamaged condition. The video below will go into more detail.
