A home owner from 32128 says:
Do you carry a replacement for the channel balance shown in the pictures attached? I'm a contractor myself, but these are for our home in Florida.

Hello,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380-30 or S385-30 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment.

You'll also need 2920 spring strength options for your replacement balances. Thank you and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi Casey,

I just took a window out again and measured as you showed above. I checked both channel balances and the dimension is basically a heavy 7/8" or light 15/16". Also, I can't weigh the window pane itself, cause I don't have a scale. The window pane is a single pane, measuring 34-14" W x 32-14" H. My guestimate of the weight, is about 20 pounds.

We do offer the 7/8" deep 15-029 bottom fitting but it would need to be a custom order since this shoe does not come with any of our stock options. To get started, we would need to know the number of balances that you need with the minimum being two.

The 2920 stamp on your balance indicates that you would need 2920 strength options to support a window sash between 12-16 lbs. As long as the balance supported the window well up until now, we can go based on your original stamp code. With that being said, I would recommend weighing the window sash if you have any reservations since custom balances are not able to be returned for a refund.

Well, I only need one, but was figuring on purchasing four Channel Balances, to have three for future use. I was also going to order the following items;
8 - Sash Guide #18-161
25' - Bubble Seal Weather Stripping #58-135

Also, and not to be a pain, but I have one last part I was hoping your team could help me with and that is Snap-in Glazing. I can't find on your website the type in our 1993 ALCAN windows. Anyway you could suggest a compatible style from the three pictures I'm attaching?

We just sent over an order link and price quote for the four custom balances that you requested. Please keep in mind that we recommend replacing both balances at the same time since replacing one side can cause damage to the balances or the window itself. You can also purchase the stock top sash guides and weatherstripping by adding them to your cart along with the order link for the custom balances.

As for your window glazing, we'd be happy to look into this as well but we would need to see an end profile photo of yours removed from the window. See the videos below to assist you.

A home owner from 32128 says:
Hi Casey,

I will replace both channel balances whenever one balance goes bad. Thanks for the heads up.

I put my order in for the parts I need for now. When I do the repairs I have to do on our windows, I'll remove (carefully, per the video below) a piece of the snap in glazing. Then I'll start a new discussion with pictures of the end profile. So hopefully your team could recommend a compatible snap in glazing you carry. Fortunately for me, I only need to replace a single piece on four of our windows.

You were extremely helpful and informative. Thank you for assistance!
