1995 Alumax vinyl thermopane window spiral balances

A home owner from Colorado says:
I have two 47" x 47" windows with a 23" spiral balances & two 35" x 59" windows with 28" spiral balances (all the lower windows tilt). Should I get the pivot shoes as well? Not sure what the size and part would be if needed? Does it matter that my spiral balances are encased in a plastic housing not metal?

Hello,

Take a look and compare the specifications of the 5/8" diameter S600 spiral balance for tilt windows to your assembly. Balance manufacturers started using mental instead of plastic housings to prevent them from breaking over time.

As for the pivot shoes, you only need to replace them if they are broken. If so, we would need to see one of your shoes removed from the window to compare to our inventory. Also, please write out the exact width and thickness. Thank you.
