1997 Ryan Home: Patriot Single Hung window latch

A home owner from Maryland says:

A couple of latches have had the top plastic broken off (both right side and left side latches). Per subject line, home built in 1997 and original literature states that windows were Patriot single hung windows.

the latch is 2 5/8" x 5/8" wide, with the opening 1 3/8"

Do you know which replacement latch may fit these windows?

thank you,

regards,

Mary

A home owner from Maryland says:
Home was built in 1997 by Ryan Homes. Literature states that windows are Patriot Single Hung windows. At the bottom of a lot of the windows, the weatherstripping/weatherseal is crumbling/falling off The weatherstripping seems to be made of a foam like substance. Not sure how it is installed to the bottom of the window. Looks like a piece of the weatherstrip wedges into a narrow opening along the bottom of the window.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hi there, Mary. Let['s start off with your tilt latch. Take a look at both our 26-243 and 26-244. Compare your measurements with ours, as well as the shaping of your locking "tooth" to make sure it is compatible with ours. As for the bulb weatherstripping. It is too badly damaged for me to make a positive ID. However, you can take a look at our selection here and see if any of our parts can be used to repair your window.
