2 Boreal window left side latches

Question

First photo?bedroom latch in the track does not pull back enough from the vinyl track to tilt the window outward.
Second photo?bathroom window left side sliding latch broke off revealing the screw.

Both windows open so I didn't mess with the screw. My son-in-law is quite handy, so any advice and parts would be helpful. Thank you. Rosemary

PS I've liked the windows and the tilt out feature.

It looks like you have an internal latch that's similar to our 26-334 . However, we have not been unable to locate a replacement finger lever that is the same size as yours.

In situations like this, service people opt to remove the internal latches and install external latches like 26-228 and 26-229 . See our video below, which will show you how to make the necessary modifications. Take a look to see if you think your window sash could be adapted with a surface mounted style.
