20" Channel Balance (1990 24)

Question

Old Window Channel Balance appears to most closely resemble your series 351, but; 1) the bottom shoe on old balance measures about 1 1/16" wide, so not sure if 351 or 390 series is best, 2) marking/stamp on my channel says 1990, your stamp options only seem to go to 1960, although window sash seems to weigh about 24lbs, so maybe 1960 is OK.

I'm hoping that from the stamp on the old channel you will be able to tell me exactly what I currently have and what a direct replacement would be.

Hello! If your original shoe was 1-1/16" deep, then it was likely once 1-1/8" and wore down over the years from constant use. These are plastic so that's fairly common. I feel confident that the Series 390 is what you want.

As for the stamp, if the sash is 24 pounds then the 1960 option is the top pick. That carries 22 through 26 pounds, which covers your weight perfectly.
