and the locking mechanism has broken. The following is all the information I have

That information isn't going to help, I'm afraid. Without seeing the actual mechanism you need, I can only direct you to our sliding glass door handle section. See if you can find what you need; there are a few different kinds of parts that can be thought of as a "locking mechanism."
