20.5" metal length/need 1990 s385

Question

I plan to order s385, but old one has metal channel that is 20.5" in length. Should i order 20 or 21? Imprint says 1990 but Option 1990 not available with 20"; what is a good match? Pls. Help.

Thanks for posting. If the metal channel, not including the fittings, is indeed 20-1/2" long, this is unusual but not unheard of. With channel balances, the length for a replacement must be the same as the original. We can supply X-1/2" balances for you via custom order. The code 1990 would be very unusual for this length though. Please triple-check the length to be certain--while it looks that way in the photos, photos of measuring tape can sometimes be deceiving. Please also give the exact weight of the window sash that uses these balances. Also, how many do you need? We'll do our best to write a quote up from there.
