21 old vinyl double hung tilt windows for house built in 1997

from Robbinsville, NJ

Hi-

We have Allenco vinyl double hung tilt windows in a house built by Beazer Homes in 1997. We are located in Robbinsvile NJ. The Allenco windows are no longer made. The manufacturer of the 2 bay windows is unknown.

The upper sashes are fixed. The lower sashes tilt.

We would like to replace the following defective parts:

1) tilt latch pair (for 17 typical Allenco windows) - see picture

2) tilt latch pair (for 4 bay windows, mfgr unknown) - see picture

3) upper sash vertical rail covers. The longest is 28" long - see picture

Can you confirm what the parts should be to replace these items?

I saw a video for the replacement of the tilt latches and they look reasonably easy to replace.

Can you tell me what degree of difficulty it is to replace the sash rail cover?

I am an interior architect and this is for my home.

thank you, Marjorie.

Hi, Marjorie.

Thank you for your patience during our busy season. Start by looking over the dimensions for our 26-243 and 26-244 tilt latches and see if they match your original hardware. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we don't carry a replacement for the sash rail covers. These covers usually snap off, but I'm not sure if yours works differently or not. If you're unsure, you can always contact a local professional for assistance.
