22E (Possibly UB 22E and longer one has 28F

Question

I pulled a couple of balances. The smaller window balance is stamped 22E and the longer is stamped 28F. Is that all need to get exact replacements.

Hello,

The stamp codes only indicate the strength of the internal spring, but with this combination of attachments, you could have either the S378, S380, or S385 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below.

You'll also need to measure the metal channels of your balances, not including the end fittings. One should be 23" with 2250 strength options. The other should be 29" with 2860 options. Thank you, and let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
