23-501 Track Installation

Question

The width of my closet opening is exactly 60" or five feet. It appears from your by-pass track kits that I would use the 5ft track #Product code 23-501 that the track is only 59" vs the 60" opening that I need. How does this work? Do I center the track on the header and leave a gap of 1/2" on each end of the track? Please advise. Thanks Kevin

You are correct, you would center the track in header and leave 1/2" gap on each end. The track is purposely made shorter for builders to install without cutting and especially if the opening is not exactly 60".
