23" window balance

Hi.. can you please help me identify this part ?

The channel length is 23", but there are no markings on the side at all.

Sure, I'm confident we can help. Start by looking at our S385-24. This comes with the 19-005 top and 15-004 bottom, so it's important to double check that these match what's installed on your balance now.

I found some faint markings on it..

Caldwell 22 4 FN

can you please tell me what the proper replacement balance ?

I'm afraid that's not a part number. The only thing that stamp tells us is the strength of the spring. Using that stamp as a reference, I'd recommend the 2240 option. The only way to confirm if the S385-24 can work for you is to compare the hardware I mentioned to what you have now. That's the only way to know for sure.
