We can supply a replacement for this balance, but it will have to be a special order due to its configuration. Your balance has a pulley wheel built into the bottom nylon fitting, as well as a 24-7/8" metal channel length and an extended cord.

We can help, but we'll need a bit more information before we can get started. First, please remove the balance entirely from the window so that we can see it without obstruction. Then, show me a clear picture of both the top nylon fitting and the hook or clip at the bottom of the cord. Seeing these two details will allow us to confirm the combination of fittings necessary to assemble this balance.

Finally, please tell me how many you need.

Once we know all that, I'll email you a special order link and price quote for that quantity.

Here's the photos. I don't know if I need the channel balances or just the clips. It appears to work but I don't know if the metal part you connect to the frame will stay in the hole or if there's a clip that holds it in

Thank you for clarifying! If your balance is still in good condition, then there is a chance you may not need to replace it. What exactly is the problem? Looking at your photos, it looks like the balances are sitting loosely in your jamb track. Is it that they came out the bottom or did they come out of the top?

If they sprung up at the top, then the issue may in fact be with your top sash guides. I recommend looking at our top sash guide selection here, as well as of the video below. That will walk you through exactly what this issue is and how you can fix it.

Otherwise, I have identified your balance. If you did want to replace that then we can absolutely supply it. Just say the word.

In order to identify your top sash guide, we'd have to see a picture of an undamaged one that has been removed from your sash. When you show it to us, please take your photos from the front and side. Think of it like a mugshot.

The take out clip is unfortunately not something that we can provide. I've seen it a few times in the past and it has been completely unavailable to us for years. I suspect it hasn't been made in a long time. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Left side dropped down, Right side popped up. I definitely need pop out clips and the sash guides.

What part #'s do I need for those?

I'll just order the channel balances. Is there no clip we can put for the window stop? I don't want to take things apart. Just replace the whole piece so it can go back to up and down.

There is one trick we use sometimes. You can drill a small hole and put in a screw. If the screw sticks up a little bit, it will work exactly the same way as a take out clip. When the balances are replaced and the sash is back in, you can simply take the screw out. All that will be left is a small hole. I know that's not ideal, but I don't know where you could find that take out clip. We've been trying to get it for years.

As for the balances, I'll email you an order link and price quote right now for two, which is our minimum. If you wanted to increase that quantity just let me know here and I'd be happy to do so.

Finally, concerning your top sash guide, we don't have an exact match. However, our 18-008 is very similar and may work in the same capacity. It would ultimately depend on your dimensions. I recommend looking over ours and seeing how well they compare to your own measurements.
