24 inch flexible yellow tip spiral spring balance 3/8 inch diameter

My balancer has a flexible coiled outer tube enclosed in plastic sheath. Wondering if solid outer tibe will work in my window? Is so could you give me replacement part#

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you have a spiral balance but we'd like more information. Can you remove the undamaged balance assembly from the window and show us some photos? We'd like to see an up-close photo of the extended inner spiral, especially.

Thank you! This appears to be a spiral balance for a tilt window. The best match will depend on the diameter of the outer plastic tube, so you'll want to measure an undamaged balance for an accurate measurement. If the diameter of the outer tube is 3/8", see the Series 900. If it's 5/8", see the Series 600 instead. Note that the length of the balance is determined by measuring only the outer tube. 

You will also need to weigh the window sash on a scale to determine the appropriate tip option. The video below will go into detail regarding the replacement steps.
