Home Owner from Eugene Oregon
I am looking to get an estimate to replace two window channels, the second in another email. Please contact me if you need more info as I have additional photos.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We can help with this. Your balance's configuration isn't a part of our stock catalog so this must be a custom order. Can you show us a clear and up close photo of the metal clip attached at the end of the pulley cord? Yours appears to be too smashed or damaged to make out.

Are you looking for the take out clip as well? If so, can we see it removed from the window?

Yes, please the attached. I had additional photos but there seemed to be a limit. Please let me know if you need additional information. I could use a bag of the take out clips for other windows as they seem to age and break easily, much like an aging human, I suppose haha.

Hello again,

I have sent over another order link for the 25-4 stamped balances for (2). This balance has a slightly different shoe changing the type it is compared to your 25-5 balance. The length of the metal channel excluding the nylon attachments should measure 25-5/8" long, please compare.

Both quotes can be added to your cart at the same time. For the take out clip, please review the dimensions of the 16-035A. These clips will need to be added to your cart additionally from the product page before checking out.

Let us know if you have any additional questions and custom balances are nonrefundable.

Thank you for your reply. The channels appear identical in terms of length but the "shoe changing type" is different between the two, as you observed. Not sure why as the window are practically identical except for their width.
I am sending additional photos of the take out clip to make sure they are the same as they appear to be so.
Also, I am assuming that it is best to replace the channel balances two at a time?
Thank you,

Jeff

Yes, we always recommend replacing balances in pairs. Pairing a new balance with an old one will cause the new hardware to wear out much faster.

Your old take out clip is discontinued and no longer available but the 16-035A is our best option and should work for you.
