TRYING TO IDENTIFY THE BALANCE I NEED TO HAVE REPLACED IN MY MANUFACTURED HOME IN CALIFORNIA. 28" LONG 1/2" WIDE

Start by looking at our S385-26 channel balance. This looks similar to me, but just make sure the nylon attachments that come with it match your own.

so you are suggesting 26" long but when i mesure the balance according to your videos its 28" long. bit confused

I recommend a 26" long balance based on your stamp of "25 5." Make sure you are only measuring the metal channel, do not measure anything else. If the metal channel is 28" long, let me know. I do not know why the manufacturer would give a 28" long balance a stamp of 25 5 but perhaps it was an error.

Sorry, you are correct, I remeasured and yes it is 26". Thank you for all your help.
