26-122 Vent Latch measurement, will it work?

My question is about the tolerance of the length of the vent lock.
The cutout opening for your 26-122 vent latch is pictured in the drawing as 1 29/32" in length.
My windows cutout opening measures 1 27/32" so the difference is 2/32".

What I need to know is the 1 29/32 true or is there some wiggle room to fit the lock into my smaller opening?
I've loaded pics of the lock and opening.
