26-351 Better Bilt Tilt Window latch

Question

I am sure this is the proper replacement part.....having trouble unloosening the side screw. Top screw is easy. Any hints on loosening that up aside fomr WD40?

Greetings. Correct- if you have Better Bilt windows, 26-351 latches will work for you. As for the rusted side screw, WD 40 is the way to go. Lay the sash on its end so the WD 40 can seep in under the screw and just give it time. Let us know how it works out.
