27" x 5/8" spiral balance with no-color tip

Hi, Can you advise about parts?
The original balance tube is 27"x5/8", the tip has no color, and there are no markings or numbers on the balance. The bracket is attached with a rivet and fits into a mortise on the bottom of the sash.
I think I bought the wrong balances (S200-27), because they have shoes, so I can't attach the bracket. The brackets I bought (17-012) fit the mortise, so should I change to the S500-27 balances (they will work with the brackets)?

I agree, the S200-27 was not the right choice, but the S500-27 should work well. We've been using the Series 500 balance and 17-012 bracket to replace this kind of setup for decades.
