2730 & 2740 options

I note that when I order the 2730 and 2740 options they default to the same replacement balance (S380-28). When I order 16 total (but only 8 of each respectively), I note that the price doesn't reflect the quantity discount. Are there actually any differences in the 2730 & 2740 options? If not, shouldn't I just order 16 of one option?

Good Morning,

Each balance option refers to the length and strength of the balance.

The first two numbers '27' is the internal length (so you add 1 to get the metal channel length of 28").

The last two numbers '30' and '40' refer to the strength of the channel balance. The stronger the balance the heavier the window sash it can handle.

I would stick to the strengths of your original balance but if you would like to check, please reply with the weight of the window sash for each size of window. You can weigh the sash on a simple scale such as a bathroom scale.
