2730 balance

Question

I would like to replace 27-3 (2730) balance for my window sash. The current balance is marked with 27-3 stamp (measures 28'" from one end to other, NOT including plastic ends, 5/8" depth and 1/2" wide)

Let me know what item number of yours would replace this. Would like to get with both plastic end caps.

I'm afraid that I don't know what balance you need. There are dozens of different balances that use that stamp. It's not a product code or anything, it only indicates the strength of the spring. It can't be used to identify the Series in any way.

In order to help, I'll need you to remove an undamaged version of this balance from the window and show me a clear picture of the top and bottom ends. Knowing the dimensions of these ends would also help. It's important that we see an undamaged version because if any pieces are broken off or missing then we won't be able to find a match. Physical details are essential to pick out the right balance Series.
