28" Series 350 Channel Balance with a stamp option 2750 instead of 2740

Hi,
I am waiting for an Auto-Notify to let me know when the S350-28 with option '2740' is back in stock.
But
My window sash weighs 20lbs.
I am thinking what if it will work with option '2750' instead.
Would you give me an advice on this. Thank you.

If your sash is only 20 pounds, then I predict that the 2750 will be too strong. If you were to use these then your windows would be a lot harder to close and may even drift up on their own.

It's ultimately up to you, but I advise against it.

TO determine the proper weight rating, do you weigh the window and divide by 2 (for 2 balances) or just use the weight of the window and select on the chart.

You do not divide the weight in half for this kind of balance, no. You just have to weigh your sash and match it up to the chart.
