I see the part on your website, but I did not see the orange tip option. The measurements are from tip to tip right? I may have to take it out to make sure.

The measurement is from one end of the tube to the other. If your diameter is 5/8", choose Series 600. The orange tip is usually just a faded red tip, but you can weigh your window sash to be sure. Each balance has a chart on its webpage that tells you which color tip goes with which range of sash weights.
