30" tilt window block & tackle counter balances

I have 2 windows that need replacement parts...T locks are all cracked apart, springs rusted, rivet pins bent, etc. Suppose I might as well replace both pairs so looking for 4 total.

Hello,

Take a look and compare the specifications of the S795-30 channel balance to your assembly. Note that it comes with a 1-1/4" width T-lock shoe and uses a screw tab at the end of the pulley for installation.

How to measure the length of the Series 795 channel balance.

There should be a stamp code on your original balance channels that you'll need to choose the corresponding strength option for your replacements. Thank you!

Now that you gave me more info, I'll dbl check my measurement and look for a stamp on the channel. I'll be back in touch later.

The length will need to be 29" (NOT 30") and there is a stamp code on the channel. Reads 28 5. Everything else looks right.

Thank you!

Thanks for getting back to us. I'd recommend double-checking the length of the metal channel, not including the T-lock shoe since this type of balance stamped with 28 would normally measure 28" long.

Thank you for confirming. In that case, you may need 29E strength options for the S795-29 channel balances. To confirm, I'd recommend weighing your sash to confirm that it falls within the  28 to 32 lbs ranges supported by these balances.

We're happy to help! Just let us know if you have any other questions.

I FINALLY had a chance to weight the windows and they are less than the 28 to 32 lbs you mentioned...closer to only 21.5 lbs. What does this mean? Please advise so I can place this order.

Thank you again!

Your length and sash weight would correspond to the S795-29 (29C) channel balances, which support a sash between 18-23 lbs. Look it over and let us know if you need anything else.
