#31761A Truth Roller (Product Code 81-149

Home Owner from Santa Fe, NM

Hello,

I am replacing two slider door rollers with your tandem rollers in above subject line. I am inquiring about the method of adjusting these rollers. I notice that when I turn the adjustment screw counter-clockwise, the left roller lowers from the housing (thus raising the door). And when I then turn the screw clockwise, the left wheel recedes into the housing, as the right wheel lowers from the housing. What is the best way to adjust these rollers? Thanks,

Alan

Thanks for posting. Essentially, the purpose of the adjustment screw is to lower or raise the housing, allowing the door to fit snug in the frame. This also can be helpful for making up a slight difference in the wheel diameter if replacement rollers have a different diameter from the originals. Let me know if you have further questions.

Just wondering the 81-149 will still work for the 31761A part even if i have a wooden frame

Hello there. In my experience the frame material hasn't had a huge difference on compatibility. The roller design and dimensions are what matter most. If this all matches, the 81-018 or stainless steel 81-149 should work for you.
