what is the material of this guide?
Is it soft enough to put a staple thru it like nylon or will it crack?

Though the 32-114 is sturdy drawer glide, there is always a risk of damage putting a staple through it. If you are really persistent using a staple gun to install the glides, you may want to have a look and consider our 32-020. It's more of flexible, plastic material.
