I need assistance with a 32 1/8" long Peachtree Balance replacement.
The window sash weighs about 22 lbs.
If weighed without balances it was about 20 lbs.

To replace your original balance, order the S745-32 and choose stamp "31.25-4". However, this will replace a "3072" stamp for 24 to 28 pound sashes. If your sash is 20 pounds, you will want a lower option. Did you find that it was hard to close the window before, when your "3072" balance was still functioning? I'm wondering if your balance was too strong originally.

Yes, the lower sash was very difficult to close with the "3072" balances. What balance do I need to make the window operate correctly. Thank you, Paul.

I thought that might be the case. For a 20 pound sash, I recommend the S745-32 with 31.25-3 option. That's for sashes weighing 17 through 23 pounds.
