32" Balancer

Balancers on 2 windows not strong enough to hold window open. Do I need a different size or is there a way to tighten if the rivet is moved up a notch?

Hello,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to tighten channel balances like yours. If they are no longer able to support the weight of the window, that indicates that they need to be replaced.

We can supply your replacement balances but it will need to be a custom order due to the length, extended travel pulley system and unique combination of end attachments.

To determine exactly what you need, we will need to see photos of both end attachments of your balance fully removed from the window, as well as the metal pulley clip. Thank you!

These balancers were never strong enough to hold up the window on 4 of my windows. The window weighs 20 lbs. I will need 8 balancers.

Thanks for getting back to us. Based on your 20-pound sash weight, you should be able to use 32-3 stamp balances to support a window sash between 17-22 pounds. Just let us know if you would like to start with two balances to try, since these custom balances are not able to be returned, or we can send you an order like for all eight balances.
