33 2 BSI on channel

Landlord from Milpitas, California
My window was stuck and not able to open. After watching your tube, I am able to take out the window, however I don't know which part to order.
I don't have another exact window to compare (the other one, channel does not shoot up, completely stuck). It's a different issue, I may send separate request for help, if necessary.
Does the plastic part inside the window frame  need replacement? Pls help. Thanks so much!

Hi there!

Thank you for bearing with us during this busy season. We're happy to help replace the channel balance shown here. Can you remove it from the window? We'd like to see photos of the top and bottom fittings.

The 18-171 resembles your old top sash guide but note that you will have to trim the down the top to fit the window sash. However, if the top sash guide is in good shape, you don't have to replace it.

Is the balance stuck in the window track or is it the window sash that's stuck? It's possible that there could be an obstruction in the window track if the balance broke. However, there isn't much we can do to help with that if it's stuck. Your best bet would be to consult a local professional for assistance.
