33" Balance replacement in a Viking single hung window

Home Owner from California
I have 2 single hung windows with broken balances. It looks like the metal pulley end that attaches to the spring broke on both balances of both windows. The balance channel is 33" long. The stamp number says 32 AG 42 and there is a lighter marking of DS between the 32 and AG. I want to know if I can just replace the metal pulley piece that broke or if I need to replace the entire balance. I tried to attach pictures, but the website wouldn't let me.

Thank You,
Jay

Thanks for posting, Jay, and for the pictures! Unfortunately, the pully system inside the channel is not replaceable. You will have to replace the entire balance.

By looking at the pictures you have now, I'm not quite sure what Series you may have. I see the top of your balance clearly enough, but could I see the bottom end from a closer angle? Can you also confirm your channel length?

I have attached a few more pictures. Hopefully this helps. Thanks.

These pictures are exactly what we needed! It looks like your top attachment is winged, while your bottom attachment is not.

First, can you confirm the depth of the bottom attachment for each balance? Looking at your pictures, I think you may have either our 15-003 or 15-001. Please see both pieces and note their dimensions. Which is closer to your bottom shoes?

Next, can you please give me the sash weight of each of the windows? This will help us determine the option you will need.

Hi Paul. The bottom shoe is definitely 15-001 after measuring. The sash weight, which is the entire sliding piece of the window to my understanding, is 35.5 lbs. Both windows are identical.

Thanks for getting back to us, Jay, and thank you for the information! Please take a look at the S395-33 with the option 3260. Let me know if you have any further questions.
