35 Year Old Series 200 Rollers

Question

I have a 35 year 200 series door and checked rollers. The bearing were OK but gummed up freed them and was spinning great. But door is still very hard to open. Should i install new rollers and try? Track is good.

Hi there, we're happy to help with this one. You say you freed up the rollers, did you lubricate the bearings and the track? That could help. Is your door dragging anywhere on the frame? Your door could just be a heavy door to operate. After 35 years it might be time to replace the door rollers. However, you will need to remove them from the sliding door and send us some photos of it with the dimensions. Take note there is no guarantee we will have your roller, but we will not know until we see some photos of the rollers and identify them.
