What screw to use with this lock? The holes aren't threaded

Home Owner from South Carolina
I have a maxim multi-point lock, product code 38-095 that I just received from you. Its seems to be a perfect replacement for my broken lock. When I went to install it, I found that were no threads in the screw holes. What do I do now? Thank you.

Good Morning! We recommend using a #10-24 thread-forming machine screw. Length may vary depending on the window, so if you can use your original screw as a reference point for that. Otherwise you can aim for approximately 1/2" long and it should be okay.

A local hardware store should have this screw size.
