39-031 short arm bend up or down???

Quick Learner
Hi,
My part that I need to replace is from a K&K window and its dimensions match your part 39-031. However, as shown in my photo, the bend or kink in the short arm of my original is in the upward direction. What direction is the bend in the 39-031 and can I use it to replace my part (as I said, the arm lengths match).
Thanks!

The bend in our 39-031 and 39-032 is down. I actually recently talked to a local window manufacture about this and I asked him about it. The reason for the downward bend is that it keeps downward pressure on the link arm. That way if the clip (39-105) slides off, the downward bend will keep the link arm atatched to the stud bracket on the sash. In other words, it's a bit of a manufacturing upgrade.
