39-188 with 4-1/2" long arm?

A quick learner from CT says:
I purchased a 39-188 only to find out the 5" arm is to long and I need a 4-1/2" arm. I don't see this size anywhere on the website. Please advise.
Thanks

I'm afraid we've never been able to find a version of the 39-188 with this size arm. There are a couple solutions you can try, though both will require a little handy work.

The first is to adjust the bracket on the sash to which the old 4-1/2" long arm attached so that it will better work with the new 5" long arm.

The second is to drill out both arms, then put the old 4-1/2" arm on the new operator using our 62-014 rivet.
