does the adapter plate change the 4.5 inch dimension in the photo attached so that I can use the 39-264?

The 39-264 you recommend is not 4.5 inches mounting hole to mounting hole.

Andersen discontinued your old operator and recommends 39-264. You may need the 39-362 adapter plate, which raises the operator base height. It doesn't change the mounting hole distance. You will also need a new cover, the 39-152, because the old cover won't match. Hopefully this helps!
