40-028 : In-Swinging Door Handle Set

A quick learner from Charleston, SC says:
I'm a quick learner but my husband is handy, so he'll do the install when I find the right product! lol!

We have a vinyl screen door mounted for inswing (because top of stairs of porch, no landing, kids, etc).
the door has a framing around it that is designed to 'catch' the traditional style hardware for locking; however, we would have to install that set backwards with the the little lockset on the outside/backyard.

Would this work on that, too? or only storm type doors with wooden frames. thanks!

Paul from SWISCO responded:
For your inswing storm door, I would consider our 40-028 as a replacement handle set. It is the only storm door lock made for inswing storm doors. You will need to drill new holes, but fortunately directions come with the lock that you can use for reference. You will also need the 40-006 bracket, which converts your door closer to inswing.

Thanks Paul for the quick response!
I have just ordered both & hope to see how they work out soon.
