40-028 assistance

A quick learner from USA says:

As discussed, I purchased the below in-swing handle from your company and just realized in order for the handle to hit the striker plate, I would need to install the handle to the right side of the door (see photo 1). But, by doing so, the outside handle hits the door jamb (photo 2). I need to move this handle to the holes further inset (photo 3), but need the handle "nose" to extend 2 ½ inches from the hole vs the 1 3/8" (see photo below). Do you have a handle or solution to address this problem? Thank you - Ron

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Hey, Ron. The 40-028 is in fact the only in-swing storm door handle made. If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

Is your storm door an in-swing? Would you happen to have the old handle set for us to look at? Seeing a photo of the original hardware would be a huge help.

A quick learner from USA says:
Greetings - my screen door is not an in-swing, so the handle hardware is just standard. If you do not have a solution, can I return the one purchased?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

If your door is not in-swing, then you definitely don't want the 40-028. As long as you haven't altered it in any way, you can return it for a refund. See our return policy here.

As for what you actually need, we will need to see a photo of the original hardware.
