What thickness doors will the 40-049 Complete Mortise Lockset, Brass work with. I have a 1.5" door that I'd like to use it on.

Hello,

Usually, the doors that use this lock would measure 1" thick. If you would like to send us photos of your original mortise lock and handle set, along with written-out dimensions compared to the images below, we'd be happy to confirm if we carry any closer replacement options. Thank you.

Thx. I ordered one anyway - I can use parts from the old one on the 1.5" door, as needed. I'm thinking the only issue will be the length of that square rod that connects the two handles.

You may be pleased to note that this product worked fine in my 1-1/2" thick door without modification.
