The handle on my Emco Forever storm/screen door, model L-617888, just hangs there--presumably a broken spring (a very common problem, I gather). Your handle 40-150 looks like a good bet to repair this, but two questions: (1) Is the broken spring in fact inside the interior handle unit? Can't tell by looking. (2) Your info on the 40-150 describes spindles of 1/8" and 3/8" as workable, but I'd swear my spindle is 5/16", and I've seen 5/16" quoted elsewhere with regard to the Forever doors. Is your 3/8" more like 'about 3/8"'? Item 40-150 looks like a near-perfect dupe in all other respects. Thanks!

You guys are gods! Handle 40-150 arrived today, took 5 minutes to install, and is a perfect replacement part for the handle on my Emco Forever screen door. Bravo! (But do indicate in your item description that this handle works on 5/16" spindles, because truly, that's the width of the spindle on my door and doubtless many others.)
