58-002 three track installation

A home owner from Cragsmoor NY says:
I?ve successfully installed 25 ft of 58-002 in some very old 3 track aluminum storm windows but it was not easy, to say the least. Can you recommend a tool that might work better than a pizza cutter, screw driver, and or a scrapper? All of which I?ve used. The storms do not come apart so the wool can?t be slid into the track. I?ve had to place one side in and press/force (PRESS/FORCE) the other side in. Thanks for our help.

Thanks for writing in. Yes, this is pretty tricky with these old storm windows. The real issue is that there's no opening at the end of the track that you could slide the base into. You could attempt to cut an opening to make one. Otherwise, what you did is unfortunately really the only viable option. Sorry for any inconvenience.
