I am looking of a replacement for an Allen Stevens Corp., replacement Patio Door roller assembly with part no. 6830.

Greetings from SWISCO! The Allen Stevens 6830 has been compared to our 81-002 Weather Tight Roller. Look it over to be sure it can work for you, too. If not, send us some photos and we'll be happy to come up with some other options.

Thank you. I guess I am going to have to enlist the help of a friend to come over and help me take both doors (fixed and rolling) out of the frame just to get at the potentially "offending" roller just to measure it to see if the one you pointed to is "close enough" to my old one. Of course, I have no practical way of leaving the doors out till I have new parts. I was hoping the manufacturer's name and part number would be enough to just order the "correct" parts. I guess I am just have to plan on taking the doors out and putting them back in at least twice and hope the new parts work.

That sounds great! Once you have done that, send us some detailed photos of the part in question along with some measurements and we can make a determination on which of our replacements would work best.
