How do I determine how many of these pins I need for each screen I'm building?

It depends on the size of the screen. For heights up to 36", you want two on each side. For heights up to 60", you want three on each side.  Finally, for 72", four on each side. For widths over 30", add two on the top and bottom of the screen.
