751-31 Channel Balance - Part Request & Installation Report

Question

I finally got someone to help me figure out how to get the channel out. We replaced a 23.5 LB sash channel balance S751-31 30HD, the original was 30TG (heavier)? wondering if the original was wrong!!?? The window works perfectly with your 30HD S751-31 balance. Now I have 16 more to do. (I originally only ordered 2 (two) just to make sure it would work). It works better that the original. So, I am assuming that you would agree that the 30HD are the correct balance for a 23.5 LB sash regardless of what the existing balance is. (again, the one that I just did works better than it ever did. I need to order 16 so I would like to get it right.

Part request - SEE PICTURES The interior sash (long "S" clip balance) has a vinyl/rubber spacer - probably to help keep the balance from creeping up the track. Do you have these parts? See Pictures. Original windows are Vetter vintage 2004.

Thanks for reaching out to us again! I'm glad to hear that the replacements worked in your window and better than the original. Since the sash weighs 23.5lbs, the 30HD option would be the correct replacement, it can support a sash weighing 23 to 29lbs.

When replacing the balances in the other windows, you'll need to follow the same steps to confirm the balances needed; such as, confirming the balance length and the stamp and/or the sash weight. If the windows are all the same size, this should make the process is a bit easier but it is best to double check so that you can ensure all of the windows are the correct replacement.

Unfortunately, we would not be able to supply you with a replacement for the spacer you have here.
