770 series window balance

I have a set of windows that need new window balances which I believe are the 770 series. The stamping on the part is 34G (see photo). The length of the balance is 34in and the spring length is approx 19.5in. What would be the replacement part? Also, this is a double hung window (one opens from top and one from bottom) so would it be the same part for both the top and bottom?

It's best to remove balances from both sashes just to be safe; but if the sashes are the same size, then yes, these should be the same balances. We don't normally supply the stamp option of 34G for the S770-34, but we can furbish it for you via a custom order. Can you just confirm how many of these balances you'll need? From there we'll get started for you.

Thanks Bob. I need four 34" and four 36" balances. They have the stirrup style ends on them.

I assume by stirrup, you mean the 15-043, which is the clip that comes attached by default to the Series 770. Is that correct? Can you tell me the stamp code on the 36" balances?

Yes, the 15-043 looks correct. The stamp code on the 36" is 36G.

Thanks for getting back to me. I just sent you a pair of custom links. One is to order (4) 34" Series 770 balances, stamped 34G, and the other is to order (4) 36" Series 770 balances, stamped 36G. Let me know if you have any questions prior to placing your order. Many thanks.
