795 channel balance

Question

Going by the pix posted not clear on measurement. Balance stamp says 31-1 A. Actual size without including top clip screw on post to bottom of channel is 32 1/2", without bottom guide. Window is by Silverline. Single hung, fixed top sash. Fibermix in lieu of vinyl composition.

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. Can you confirm the length of the metal channel by itself? Based on your stamp, it should be 31" long. Could we maybe see a couple pictures of the balance, as well? That may help us get to the bottom of that length discrepancy.
