82-008 & 82-008K

A home owner from Florida says:
Can the 82-008K directly replace an existing 82-008?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Thanks for your question. Our 82-008 and 82-008K sliding door handle set is the same handle set with the exception that the 82-008K is the keyed version of the 82-008. So either one can be used for your replacement based on whether you'd like a keyed version or not. I hope this has answered your question. Are there any other questions you may have on either one of these pieces?

A quick learner from Orlando, FL says:
To clarify. I have an existing swisco unit without the keyed lock. I can replace it with the keyed lock with no alteration to the catch?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

Yes, if you already have the 82-008, then you should be able to use the 82-008K without any problem. Like Dave said, they're the same handle, it's just that one has a key lock.
