82-008K door width

A handy person from Nokomis, FL says:
I have a door with the same lock mechanism, but the lock mechanism just spins as the door is wider than the lock is long. Looks like you are out of locks for 1.5" doors. My door is 1.25" thick. How wide of door will this mechanism support?

Hello,

First, make sure that your locking handle is similar to the 82-002K. This locking handle has the "locking tooth" facing downward and is close to the center of the handle. Take a look at our 82-002K with the locking tooth closer to the bottom of the handle. This handle, like the other handles listed, are again for 1" thick doors. However, see if you could use the existing locking tooth and screws from your old handle in the new handle set.
