82-055 help

Question

I ordered the 82-055 and unscrewed the tiny screw that goes on the part that you turn to lock the door; I haven't put that part on the door yet and the slinder metal bar fell off the back and I don't know where it belongs. I know it fell off the back of the handle and it's probably an important piece to the handle set. Please help, it's approaching dark and I"m trying to get it all put together and locked up for before it's night.

Thanks for reaching out to us. It sounds like you're talking about the spring that helps the thumb latch in its activation. I believe this simply braces in the handle against the thumb lever. You should see little notches where you can insert it on the backside of the base plate.
