Hi,
I'm replacing an old Acorn handle. I received an 82-055K, there is a plastic piece in the package. What is that used for?
Also, what holds the key cylinder in place, I'm assuming when it's screwed together the latching mechanism will push against it keeping it tight in the hole on the outside handle.
Thanks

When looking at the base of the inside handle, you will see a small long cut out of the base of the handle. This nylon piece acts as a nite latch. Snap it on the cut-out and as you slide it behind the flat spring to the middle, you prevent the turn latch from turning. Let us know if you have any further questions

Got the new handle installed at my dad's place and he is a happy camper.
I did have to use a small self tapping screw with a washer in one of the holes to hold the lock cylinder in place.
Thanks for the quick response.
